About The Position

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience in General Liability defense to join a dynamic and growing legal team in Miami, FL. This role focuses on defending a wide range of general liability matters, including medical malpractice, premises liability, HOA, assisted living, and long-term care claims.
The ideal candidate is licensed in Florida, experienced in litigation, and confident managing cases through discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in Florida
• 2–4 years of experience in General Liability defense
• Experience drafting and responding to discovery and dispositive motions
• Ability to independently manage caseload while collaborating with litigation teams

Nice To Haves

• Experience handling medical malpractice, premises liability, HOA, or long-term care matters preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare summaries of medical records and case materials
• Draft motions, including summary judgment motions, and attend hearings
• Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed
• Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses
• Draft initial, interim, pre-trial, and trial reports
• Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions
• Manage cases from initial claim through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal
• Attend court appearances and advocate effectively on behalf of clients
