Candidate must live in Central Florida to be considered. Responsibilities of Associate Attorneys include Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc., in furtherance of active litigation files Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action Advocate on behalf of the client’s interests at various litigation settings Utilize internal proprietary software to properly update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files, as assigned by the Managing Attorney, to ensure that proper litigation workflow is being performed pursuant to the firm and client expectations Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures Ability to travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including case strategy development, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and presenting oral arguments Negotiate settlements with consumers and their legal representatives to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting client interests Evaluate case merits, assess risk exposure, and provide strategic legal recommendations Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures Perform other duties as assigned
