Associate Attorney
About The Position
Our Client is a well-established law firm specializing in real estate and foreclosure litigation. The firm maintains a strong reputation for excellence in the legal field and serves a diverse client base across multiple jurisdictions in the Southeast. We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our foreclosure litigation team. In this role, you will handle foreclosure matters from inception through resolution, managing all aspects of the foreclosure process on behalf of our clients. You will work with a collaborative team while developing expertise in this specialized practice area.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree
- Member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar with Rule 403 Certification
- Member in good standing of the North Carolina Bar or another jurisdiction in the firm's footprint
- Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in foreclosure litigation or real estate law
- Experience handling contested foreclosure matters
- Familiarity with court procedures in South Carolina and/or North Carolina
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings and legal documents
- Handle all aspects of foreclosure matters, including contested foreclosures
- Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings
- Conduct regular client meetings and provide case updates
- Manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
