About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join the Foreclosure Practice Group of a confidential client in Portland, Maine. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex foreclosure matters, represent clients in various proceedings, and work collaboratively with experienced legal professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, commitment to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume practice area.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Member in good standing with the Maine Bar Association
Proven ability to manage and prioritize a substantial caseload in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong commitment to client service and professional excellence
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
Must-Have Requirements
Active Maine Bar License in good standing
Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume caseload
Strong analytical and legal research capabilities

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings and legal documents
Manage all aspects of foreclosure proceedings, including contested and litigated cases
Represent clients in mediations, depositions, and hearings (both telephonic and in-person)
Conduct detailed reviews of chains of title and related documentation
Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients, providing timely case updates
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management
Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as needed
