About The Position

Kimball, Tirey & St. John, LLP is seeking a talented and motivated attorney to join our dynamic Irvine office. Our Irvine office seeks a qualified, highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our fast-paced team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is willing to take on a broad range of transactional and litigation matters covering both business and real estate. This role requires strong analytical and writing skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. We are a client-centered firm and looking for an Associate who enjoys interacting with clients daily and able to form long-term business relationships. Requirements
- J.D. and an active California Bar License
- Strong oral and written advocacy skills
- Strong legal research skills
- Must be willing to make court appearances
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of landlord/tenant law
- Familiarity with affordable housing programs (e.g. HUD, Section 8, tax credit housing)
- 1+ year of jury trial experience
- Experience in the rental housing industry
- Client training and public speaking experience
Responsibilities
- Counsel clients on landlord tenant issues
- Review and advise on the enforceability of lease provisions
- Provide legal advice through phone consultations, emails, and video conferences
- Draft legal documents, letters, and notices
- Research applicable affordable housing regulations
- Attend industry events to increase firm visibility and increase business development
