Associate Attorney

Thenell Law Group is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in either our Lake Oswego or Bend office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in motion drafting and legal research. While some experience in taking depositions is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Candidates must hold membership in the Oregon Bar, and admission to the Washington State Bar is considered a plus. This position is open to applicants with no prior experience, although familiarity with insurance defense will be advantageous when reviewing resumes. The Associate Attorney will primarily focus on civil litigation and insurance defense cases, contributing to the legal representation of our clients. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work on matters related to the Fraternal Order of Police. We are also open to considering candidates who are awaiting their 2024 bar results; if this applies to you, please indicate your pending license in your application. This role offers the potential for hybrid work arrangements following a 90-day probationary period, allowing for a flexible work environment that can accommodate both in-office and remote work.
