The Associate Attorney (Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI Governance) will support the daily operations, projects, and initiatives of the VS&Co Global Privacy team. Reporting to the Senior Privacy Counsel, the Legal Counsel will assist with matters related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance, including tracking, researching, and providing practical legal guidance regarding regulatory developments, reviewing privacy provisions in agreements (such as DPAs), and collaborating with the Global Privacy team on privacy impact assessments and other matters. The Legal Counsel will work closely with other members of the Global Privacy team, as well as other members of the broader Legal team and business partners throughout the organization, including members of the Technology, Digital, Marketing, International, Human Resources, and Stores teams, as well as outside counsel.   • Assist the organization in navigating complex regulatory frameworks by proactively monitoring, researching, and helping to interpret new and emerging global privacy laws, regulations and industry standards to support compliance in fast-changing technological and legal environments
  • Collaborate with other members of the Global Privacy team on privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data subject requests (DSRs), and other projects and initiatives that support compliance with data protection requirements
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, negotiating and/or advising on data protection agreements such as Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and other contractual terms related to privacy and cybersecurity
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training to relevant teams on privacy legal requirements
  • Assist with the management of litigation related to privacy legal requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school, with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 2 - 3 years in-house and/or law firm experience
  • Familiarity with key global privacy legislative frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and interest in cybersecurity legal frameworks and principles and the ethical, legal, and regulatory considerations surrounding AI systems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to independently handle competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Positive, optimistic outlook that thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, often ambiguous environment
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to explain complex concepts effectively to business teams
  • IAPP certification (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E) (preferred)
