Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • 2+ years of expierence working in Consumer Class Action or Data Privacy areas
  • At least three years of litigation experience
  • Outstanding legal research
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently
  • Out-of-box thinking
  • Aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple deadlines
  • Experience in mediation
  • Ability to type at least 40 wpm

Nice To Haves

  • Class action experience a plus
  • Appellate experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments
  • Draft and file complaints for data breach cases in volume with quick turn around time
  • Draft and revise legal documents, including complaints, briefs, and memoranda
  • Participate in strategy sessions and case planning meetings with senior attorneys and the litigation team
  • Review and analyze discovery materials to identify key evidence and build a strong case
  • Write and research pleadings, discovery, and motions
  • Attend hearings
  • Stay updated on relevant legal precedents, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact ongoing cases
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses, including reviewing expert reports and preparing for expert depositions
