About The Position

O’Hagan Meyer seeks an attorney with at least 1 year of litigation experience to join our Hermosa Beach office. The ideal candidate will have experience litigating in some or all of the areas of business/commercial litigation, professional liability, premises liability, employment, and/or directors & officers defense. This is an ideal opportunity for an attorney looking to handle a wide-range of civil litigation matters involving cutting-edge topics and sophisticated, interesting clients.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience in business/commercial litigation, professional liability, premises liability, employment, and/or directors & officers defense
• Admission to the state bar of California
• Experience with both state and federal courts preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and answer discovery requests
• Prepare for trials and assist during trials
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Travel locally for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions
