About The Position

The Associate Head Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive athletic training services to University of Maine student-athletes, assists in the operation of the Sports Medicine Center, and teaches undergraduate courses in athletic training and/or kinesiology. Typical hiring range for this position is $58,000 to $60,500 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must meet State of Maine AT licensure standards.
  • NATA Certified.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Previous experience using independent judgment and managing and imparting confidential information.
  • Ability to lift loads up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree
  • 2 years as a collegiate athletic trainer, preferably at NCAA Division I level. Graduate assistantships and internships will be acceptable with years of experience.
