About The Position

The Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for two tenure-track positions to begin Fall 2026. Specific courses taught will depend on the successful applicant’s expertise and departmental needs but will include courses related to their area of expertise. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s growing interdisciplinary collaborations with STEM disciplines on campus. The appointment will be 100% over the nine-month academic year (September to late May). Salary and start-up packages are competitive.

Requirements

• Hold a doctorate in a psychology subfield, specifically in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, by the time of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Aptitude for advising students.
• Evidence of research ability and a commitment to high-quality classroom instruction.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in advancing understanding of cultural and individual diversity in society.
• Strong recommendations from previous academic or professional experiences.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s areas of research and expertise.
• Advise undergraduate psychology majors and/or doctoral and master’s students.
• Engage in research activities and contribute to the department’s research mission.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaborations with STEM disciplines.
