About The Position

The Associate Area Director in Charge of Operations is responsible for overseeing administrative functions in the area, assisting the Area Director with strategic planning, coordinating donor communication and relationships, and managing volunteer strategy, recruitment, and training. This position also requires serving in a direct ministry role within the area. The role involves implementing necessary actions to carry out Young Life's mission of introducing kids to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith, while also recruiting, training, and deploying others for effective ministry.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Must have completed Core Training —Phase One
  • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of administrative functions in the area
  • Assist Area Director with Strategic Planning for the Area
  • Coordinate Donor communication and relationships
  • Coordinate volunteer strategy, recruitment and training
  • Develop a yearly personal growth plan for spiritual life
  • Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development
  • Assist in casting the area's vision for reaching every kid
  • Supervise, evaluate and develop specific staff and volunteer leaders
  • Manage part of the local area budget according to TDS principles
  • Assist in raising necessary funds for the ministry vision
  • Engage in contact work, club, Campaigners and camp
  • Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders and donors
  • Set yearly strategic ministry plan and initiatives
