Responsibilities The Strategic Advisory group is one of the most experienced teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions in recent years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including financial sponsors, financial institutions, insurance, asset managers, technology, media & telecommunications, energy, power, utilities & renewables, consumer, services, industrials, healthcare, and real estate, gaming, lodging & leisure. Within the Strategic Advisory group, the GP Advisory team has strong relationships with leading financial sponsors and routinely advises them on a variety of strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, minority stake sales, GP financing and liquidity solutions, and restructurings. This team partners closely with our broader Strategic Advisory industry teams, as well as other businesses at PJT, including PJT Park Hill’s Primary Capital and Private Capital Solutions teams.

Requirements

• In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively, interests outside of work and a desire to work in a team environment.
• A strong background in finance, accounting, and alternative investment strategies is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-5 years of investment banking experience, or an MBA degree and 2+ years of investment banking or closely related experience

Responsibilities

• Analysing financial data and developments in both public and private global financial markets across a variety of asset classes and investment strategies, including private equity, public and private credit, real estate, infrastructure and real assets, venture capital, and secondaries
• Constructing quantitative financial models, analysing economic performance, and performing valuation analysis of alternative asset managers and their underlying investment funds and vehicles.
• Conducting research and preparing materials, including written analysis and evaluations of GP-level financial and strategic alternatives, including mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, minority stake sales, financing and liquidity solutions, divestures, and restructurings.
• Working with senior team members in leading the day-to-day execution of transactions, including participating in internal and external client and counterparty meetings, facilitating management presentations and due diligence sessions, and negotiating contracts and other agreements.
