As an Associate Analyst, Investment Credit Research, you will play a key role in monitoring the financial health of Empower's investment portfolio. You'll dig into company performance data, evaluate trends, and turn your findings into clear, actionable insights. Your hands-on work-analyzing statements, preparing credit reviews, and collaborating across teams-helps identify potential risks and supports sound investment decisions that protect our customers and business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in credit or data analysis preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial statement analysis
  • Strong business writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Bloomberg or Capital IQ
  • Progress toward the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Familiarity with Access or other database tools
  • Interest in sustainable finance and portfolio risk management

Responsibilities

  • Complete annual credit reviews for portfolio companies on schedule
  • Analyze financial and sustainability data from internal and external sources
  • Collaborate with senior analysts to form and communicate credit opinions
  • Manage your own workflow and help refine team processes for quality control
  • Track compliance and maintain data within credit systems
  • Partner with teams across regions to share insights
  • Contribute to new investment reviews and special projects as needed
