About the position

OneMain Financial is seeking exceptional undergraduate or graduate students to join our Associate Analyst Internship Program (AIP). In this 10-week paid, hybrid, internship program, in Wilmington, DE, you will dive into the deep end of consumer finance analytics as you apply your creativity and critical thinking to develop a real-world use case. Examples could be, but aren't limited to, (1) creating a digital marketing campaign to acquire new customers; (2) determining the right loan amount to offer to new-to-credit customers so that it is high enough to meet their needs but low enough that they can afford to repay it; (3) optimizing the assignment of applications to our 4,500+ branch team members; or (4) developing new options that help our customers get back on track when they are experiencing an unexpected challenge. No matter the project, you'll be working on a real-world use case - not a made-up simulation. If your solution works well enough, it will be deployed in the market. How is that for having impact? Along the way, you will be paired up with an analyst who is early in their career who can give you the tips and tricks you won't learn in school, as well as their advice on how to successfully launch your professional journey. You will also be coached by managers who will guide you through the full arc of an analytic project. Finally, you will have direct exposure to senior leaders in business and credit management who are eager to share their perspectives from their own career arcs, as well as their thoughts on where this industry is headed.
