About The Position

The Associate Analyst - Fraud Prevention Wires position at Ally is focused on assessing risks related to potentially fraudulent wire transfers. The role involves conducting research, executing countermeasures, and providing documentation of findings while maintaining a high level of customer service. The analyst will work closely with various teams within Operations and must handle incoming calls effectively, ensuring compliance with established standards and policies.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Bank Fraud or Wire Fraud required.
  • Deposit operations experience highly preferred.
  • Experience providing quality customer service through incoming and outbound calls.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet service level agreements.
  • Strong Windows based PC skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle outbound and incoming calls from internal Ally associates and external customers.
  • Perform reviews utilizing various tools and reports to identify potential fraudulent activities on Ally Bank Deposit accounts.
  • Research incidents and allegations, interacting with other departments such as Risk, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Execute countermeasures and mitigation strategies to prevent losses to the bank and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures set by Corporate Security or other Ally Bank departments.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers impacted by potential fraud.
  • Review new accounts, negative balance accounts, ACH reports, and suspicious activity on existing accounts.
