About The Position

Responsible for assisting the department with all aspects of the SBIC Investment Portfolio. Responsible for managing the existing portfolio and evaluating new investments to support the Bank’s CRA goals. Supports all phases of the investment execution process, from underwriting, evaluating market opportunities and risks, and servicing a large group of internal and external clients and constituents.

Requirements

  • General knowledge and understanding of finance, credit analysis and financial modeling.
  • General knowledge of corporate banking and capital markets.
  • Ability to demonstrate a track record of high-quality achievement in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of audience both written and verbally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or job-related field, or commensurate work experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in debt capital markets, corporate/investment banking, commercial lending, or similar experience, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal credit training program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior members of the investment team, finance department and CRA department in the management of the SBIC Investment Portfolio.
  • Assist with the identification of prospective SBIC investment opportunities and maintain an internal database of existing and prospective investments.
  • Analyze financial statements and other information on prospective investments.
  • Prepare underwriting materials and financial analysis to assist in obtaining internal
  • Coordinate the preparation and review of legal documents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investment managers and regularly travel and attend conferences and meetings.
  • Support senior members of the Loan Syndications Group with the development of high-quality marketing materials including confidential information memoranda and lender presentations.
  • Communicate with all relevant team members and develop direct dialogue and rapport with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Performs other duties and contributes to projects as assigned.
