About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate information for strategic and operational decisions. Establish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligence. Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position. The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting ensures data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand our needs/issues, troubleshoot problems, conduct root cause analysis, and develops cost-effective resolutions for data anomalies. Begin to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments. Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years' experience analyzing and forecasting financial, economic, or market data to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Financial planning and analysis experience including analysis of financial performance with the purpose of identifying key long-term business risks and opportunities
  • Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
  • Meet eligibility requirements for Humana's Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP)
  • Successful completion of three (3) actuarial exams administered by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or equivalent professional actuarial body
  • MAAA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
