About The Position

The Associate Consultant works with Senior Associates, Consultants and Senior Consultants to provide advice to clients regarding their benefit programs with an initial emphasis in defined benefit plans. We work with associates to develop their financial, business, and consultative skills. Career path for candidates range from a pension actuarial focus to a broad client strategy role, advising finance and human resource executives regarding their retirement, health and welfare, and employee communications needs. The Fidelity Workplace Consulting Group is made up of over 600 professionals who advise clients on the management of their domestic and global benefits. Requirements

  • Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Quantitative subject major strongly preferred
  • Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam toward earning an A.S.A. credential
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communications skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and willingness to be innovative
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective listening, communication, and presentation skills
  • A high aptitude to learn new things quickly and adapt to new situations
  • Desire for a fast paced and collaborative work environment
  • Resourcefulness, organization, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Work on annual pension actuarial valuations to determine cash and accounting requirements
  • Support merger and acquisition transactions as they impact corporate benefit programs
  • Help clients efficiently lead their employee benefits programs from a financial, compliance, and communications perspective
  • Develop custom micro sites for a wide range of corporate compensation and benefits needs
