Join Casey's Fuel Accounting team as an Associate Accounting Analyst! As an Associate Accounting Analyst, you'll support our Fuel Accounting team, which is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reconciling all transactions related to Casey's fuel operations. This includes retail fuel sales, wholesale fuel distribution, and fuel supply chain activities. The team ensures financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across a complex network of vendors, contracts, and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, theory, procedures, and standards.
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Systematic Accounting Entries: Perform daily and monthly journal entries and reconciliations. Ensure accurate financial close processes tied to fuel operations.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare various accounting reports as requested by leadership, supporting transparency and decision-making.
  • Data Reconciliation: Compare and correct transactional data to ensure accuracy and compliance across systems.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze, initiate, and implement best practices and procedures to enhance accounting operations.
