About The Position
The Associate Accounting Analyst position at the California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) is a full-time role based in Folsom, CA. This position is integral to the Accounts Receivable (AR) unit, where the incumbent will perform a variety of analytical, forecasting, and planning duties. The role involves leading the AR unit and serving as a backup to the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations, while also contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting processes within the organization. In addition to the analytical responsibilities, the Associate Accounting Analyst will engage in customer service activities, utilizing accounting software and tools such as Sage to manage financial data effectively. The position offers a hybrid telework option, allowing for a maximum of two days of telework per week, which provides flexibility while maintaining a strong presence in the office. The work environment is supportive, with free parking available and proximity to Folsom Lake and Historic Downtown Folsom, which includes walking trails, shopping, and dining options. This role is not located inside a prison, making it a unique opportunity to contribute to the mission of CALPIA in a professional office setting.
