Requirements

  • Entry Level Accounting Experience:
  • Recent Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance + Accounting Internship/Role
  • OR Associate's Degree in Accounting + 2-3 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting Role
  • OR 5-8 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting Role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong ability to explain accounting and complex concepts well
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Engage in effective communication with managers from various locations, addressing accounting queries through phone and email, and delivering exceptional internal customer service.
  • Prepare journal entries in the SAP Accounting software as required.
  • Verify accuracy of monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, ensuring they reflect the period's outcomes precisely.
  • Validate and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, ensuring correct balances are maintained.
  • Conduct reviews of balance sheet items, including funds, inventory, entitlement accruals, etc., and perform necessary operation closures.
  • Train on SAP Accounting software.
  • Update and maintain accurate contact information for all managers in the SAP Accounting software.
  • Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and internal control measures.
  • Conduct additional accounting duties as necessary within the SAP Accounting software
