About The Position

The Associate Accountant will support the finance and accounting team by leading the accounts payable/receivable process, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This role is vital to ensuring the integrity of financial information for ACMT, contributing to the company’s mission of safety, quality and innovation in aerospace manufacturing.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Epicor).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, regulated industry environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting and inventory management systems preferred.
  • Use of EPICOR a plus

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Process supplier invoices, verify three-way match, plan, prepare and initiate weekly disbursements and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Support timely billing, customer payments, and cash application activities.
  • Monitor aging reports and assist with collections when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparation of financial audit support schedules and documentation.
  • Assist in tracking manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead expenses.
  • Assist in inventory control and verification.
  • Assist in Fixed Asset control and verification.
  • Assist with audits, both internal and external, providing supporting documentation as needed.
  • Assist in other general administrative, clerical, and financial task as assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policy & procedures.
