About The Position

Blaine Brothers is a Minnesota-based, family-owned business seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Associate Accountant to join their team. In this role, the Associate Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting to help meet the company’s overall goals. The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, be computer savvy, dependable, able to meet deadlines, and have experience with accounting systems, financial data entry, reconciliations, and general accounting processes. Responsibilities

  • Daily cash journal entries, reporting, and reconciliation
  • Weekly payroll and monthly recurring journal entries
  • Electronic payment processing and posting
  • Perform month-end account reconciliations
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements
  • File Sales Tax Reports; Federal Excise Tax Reports; Property Taxes
  • Compile Tow Truck out of state tows for third party processing
  • Assist with capital asset accounting
  • Filing Rebates
  • May be assigned additional responsibilities as needed
