About The Position

The Associate Accountant (Accounts Payable) (T) position is responsible for processing and entering invoices for national accounts. This position also issues payment periodically to special vendors. The Associate Accountant reconciles the electronic vendor inputs with the company's purchasing records and issues payment to the special vendors based on their contractual terms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with coursework in Accounting required.
• Minimum one year of related experience preferred in a retail/hospitality environment.
• If hired, successful completion of annual store training.
• Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely processing of invoices for national accounts, special concepts and corporate level invoices.
• Participates in special projections, such as conversion to an online invoicing system and RPA involvement.
• Runs daily/weekly payment cycles on all payment types.
• Records periodic journal entries and accruals.
• Reconciles Service Channel electronic files.
• Records stop payments/cancels on AP payments.
• May assist supervisor with training and coaching junior associates on specific job responsibilities.
• Provides customer service related to areas of responsibility including vendors and operations inquiries.
