About The Position

IAT Insurance Group Surety Business Unit has an immediate opening for an Associate Account Manager in our Scottsdale, Arizona location. This role will provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters and will act as a liaison between the organization and agents, working closely with both entities to ensure client needs are being met. This role works a hybrid schedule from our Scottsdale, Arizona location. The hybrid schedule reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork) as it requires working from the office with colleagues and other disciplines Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Requirements

  • Must Have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Basic mathematics and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong keyboarding skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
  • Strong PC skills required.
  • Must be detail and action oriented.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and deadline-driven production environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to set and maintain priorities.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of Underwriting support processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Enters new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
  • Prepares account service-related documents and other client communications and correspondence.
  • Processes renewals, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
  • Processes endorsements and audit transactions through communication with agents and underwriters.
  • Processes non-renewals and cancellations.
  • Reviews all company correspondence to ensure applicability to client needs.
  • Maintains bond/account files in accordance with established procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
  • Answers and processes internal information requests.
  • Improves/refines professional skills through continuing education and maintaining familiarity with industry trends and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
