About Recess Recess is the fastest-growing one-stop marketplace helping families discover and book trusted camps, classes, and programs. We partner with small businesses and top youth enrichment providers nationwide, supporting their growth while helping families and school communities navigate every no-school day with ease. Role Overview The Associate Account Executive (AAE) plays a critical role in supporting our provider community and enabling our Account Executives. This role blends relationship support, sales operations, and early-stage prospecting to ensure providers feel cared for and Recess continues to grow. You will act as a key link between Recess and our provider partners: communicating updates, following up consistently, maintaining accurate data, preparing materials, and helping drive new opportunities. This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, warm, hungry to learn, and excited to grow into a full AE or account management role

Requirements

  • Comfortable with outreach and excited to grow your sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and motivated by supporting both small businesses and families.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, community-centered startup.
  • 2-4 years in sales support, customer success, account coordination, or related roles.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Close preferred but not required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in education, camps/programming, or marketplace environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Client Communication & Relationship Support Serve as a friendly, reliable point of contact for current providers. Handle inbound inquiries, send updates, and ensure providers receive timely answers. Support ongoing provider satisfaction by maintaining consistent touchpoints and nurturing relationships.
  • Sales & Lead Generation Prospect for new providers, qualify leads, and assist with outreach via calls, emails, and messages. Nurture early-stage opportunities through the sales cycle alongside the AEs. Represent Recess with clarity and enthusiasm during introductory interactions.
  • Sales Support Prepare presentations, proposals, follow-up materials, and call notes for AEs. Assist with building outreach lists, seasonal campaign materials, and provider-facing decks. Support AE workflows to keep the sales process efficient and organized.
  • Account Management Assistance Help maintain provider account health through updates, reminders, and coordination of needs. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of information to providers. Identify potential growth areas within existing accounts and flag them to the AE team.
  • Market Research Track trends in categories, geography, seasonal demand, and competitor activity. Research new program opportunities and identify potential providers to bring onto the platform.
  • Administrative & CRM Management Maintain accurate provider records, statuses, and notes in Close. Organize onboarding documents, outreach logs, and partner materials. Coordinate internally with CX, Product, and Growth teams to ensure smooth provider experience.
