About The Position

The 4-H Associate Program Educator is a 42% FTE position (about 16-17 hours per week) working in and throughout Racine County. The Associate 4-H Program Educator will assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating 4-H events and activities in Racine County. They will assist in building an awareness of 4-H outreach programs through marketing to new audiences and providing positive youth development experiences to attract new and retain current participants in 4-H programs. The position will work closely with the Racine County 4-H Program Educator. The Associate Educator will help deliver programming through 4-H events, camps, community events, afterschool programs, and other settings. The individual in this position will be essential in developing and sustaining community partnerships that support programming. County Location The main office for this position is located in Burlington, WI and the primary programming focus is Racine County; however, some programming may also be conducted over a broader geographical area. Terminal Position The initial period of employment will be one year, with the possibility to be extended for an additional year contingent upon program needs and available funding. In Person It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Evening/Weekend Work This position may be required to work occasional nights and weekends to meet the program needs and priorities of the communities served. Travel Expectations It is expected that employees will make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions.   • Have a valid drivers license and a reliable source of independent transportation for periodic in-state work travel, and/or comply with requirements for UW-Madison vehicle use authorization

  • Required Education High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Helps design marketing materials and promotions for programs
