About The Position

H-E-B's Transportation Fleet is proof of our excellence in logistics: our Drivers and Support teams ensure 475 tractors and 3,530 trailers move over 73 million miles every year to ensure our Customers get the products they want in the manner they want to shop, pay for, and receive them. As an Associate Tire Technician, you'll perform basic to mid-range diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic repairs and replacements. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
6 months of related experience
Ability to work in a team environment
Lift 100 lbs and carry 5 feet
Work while sitting, standing, stooping, bending, or in a prone position
Work with hands over head
Climb and work from a ladder
Obtain / maintain a tire certification
Obtain / maintain a CDL
Meet H-E-B driving qualifications

Responsibilities

Assists in basic to mid-range diagnostics and troubleshooting
Assists with basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and replacements in assigned classification
Operates with basic tooling
May work with others in an apprentice-style environment
Performs tire repairs; repairs / replaces; mounts / dismounts; controls tire inventory; repairs / replaces wheels
Delivers tires to tire banks
Operates a forklift
