About The Position

The Associate, Supply Chain position in Huntsville, AL involves various responsibilities related to procurement and supplier management. The role requires submitting RFQs (Requests for Quotations) to suppliers to develop pricing for Consolidated Material Lists (CML). The associate will procure materials, equipment, supplies, services, and commodity products that are of low to medium value and medium to high volume. Negotiation of price, delivery, and quality of products and services is a key aspect of the job, along with determining supplier selections. The position also involves tracking all Purchase Orders through various reports, managing exceptions, open commitments, receiving discrepancies, returns, and supplier discrepancies, as well as addressing problem reports and supplier corrective action responses. The associate will interface with receiving and accounting departments to resolve issues and confer with suppliers to understand factors affecting competitive total cost of ownership, ensuring consistency with quality, reliability, and the ability to meet required schedules. Additionally, the role requires interpreting FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations regarding import/export control certifications and licenses.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, Logistics Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, General Business Management, Business Administration or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months.
