Requirements

  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet production and customer needs.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience preferred.
  • 1+ years in a Mechanical Assembly position or similar position required

Nice To Haves

  • Electronics assembly and inspection experience
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • Knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001.

Responsibilities

  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals
  • Communicate effectively to leadership regarding issues/status/performance during a given shift
  • Maintains an effective relationship with Quality and Engineering teams to ensure production goals are met
  • Performs a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • Prepares assembly work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and following blueprint specifications
  • Populate PCBs from Work Instructions and Assembly Drawings / Bills of Material
  • Assembles components by positioning parts and sub-assemblies examining connections for correct fit, and fastening parts and sub-assemblies
  • Install, assemble, and inspect electronic components during product assembly with a focus on Mechanical Assembly, per documented work instructions
  • Interpreting Job Routers, written instructions, and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Performing a variety of inspections with a focus on Mechanical Assembly operation to ensure assembly meets IPC standards.
  • Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Using hand and/or power tools, and assembly palettes.
  • Operate Production equipment (Conformal coat, Plasma washer, oven, etc....)
  • Able to perform all tasks in the Mechanical Assembly operation (Wash, Bake, Underfill, Masking, curing, demasking and cleaning/touch up, Enhanced Mechanical.
  • Apply underfill and masking material according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • OT is available and encouraged
  • Other duties as assigned.
