About The Position

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Summer 2025 to work out of our John C. Stennis Space Center, MS location. The intern will have an opportunity to learn and/or use basic engineering and lean manufacturing principles, theories and concepts. Aerojet Rocketdyne's facility located at NASA's Stennis Space Center, MS helped build and test the rocket engines that took humans to the Moon with Apollo, low-earth orbit with the Space Shuttle program, and now we are going farther than ever before with NASA's Artemis program!

Requirements

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (or similar major).
  • Alternatively, candidates must be enrolled in an advanced degree program in a related major and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and/or use basic engineering and Operations principles, theories and concepts.
  • Perform entry-level test engineering assignments such as authoring work instructions using drawings and other requirements.
  • Perform modifications to mechanical and fluid test systems.
  • Work on any special projects as directed.
  • Complete both general and specialized assignments that provide training and work experience of a developmental nature.
