About The Position

The Associate Manager, Leave of Absence Administration, is responsible for managing the daily operations of leave programs across the United States, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and delivering a positive employee experience. This role supervises a team of two leave specialists and partners with internal stakeholders, Information Services (IS), and external vendors to manage leave cases efficiently and compassionately. The Associate Manager also supports system integrations, reporting, and vendor supervision for Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and other statutory or company-sponsored leave programs.

Requirements

  • Prior experience supervising or leading a team strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, STD, LTD, leave laws and programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leave administration or related HR function.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of two employees responsible for all aspects of company leave of absence programs.
  • Oversee leave cases including FMLA, parental, military, STD, LTD, and other statutory or company-sponsored leaves across the U.S.
  • Collaborate closely with IS to manage and troubleshoot integration files related to leave administration and disability programs.
  • Liaise with third-party leave administrators and disability carriers to coordinate STD and LTD benefits and resolve issues.
  • Track and analyze leave trends, volumes, and compliance metrics across U.S. operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update the Leaves Power BI Dashboard to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy in HRIS and leave management systems.
  • Prepare reports for HR leadership and support audits as needed.
  • Contribute to policy updates and training initiatives.
