About The Position

The Associate Field Service Technician will provide on-site support to our customers. They perform client-site servicing activities required by First Line Supplies Management (FLSM) Service Solution contracts. As a customer-facing and technical related role, this position is a potential gateway for other roles into the traditional services organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Technical and/or mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and spend the majority of the shift driving, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, walking, etc.
  • Valid and active driver's license, and insurability.
  • Overtime and on-call availability as needed.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills for mechanical assemblies.
  • Demonstrated ability in time management, schedule and route planning, and following documented processes.
  • Proficient with PCs, operating systems, and relevant software applications (MS Windows, MS Office).
  • Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, assignments, and travel when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional electromechanical technician experience.
  • Additional power supply and peripheral device repair experience.
  • Technical education preferred.
  • Skilled with tools and electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to routed and scheduled calls to service customer locations within defined service times.
  • Remove and securely destroy spent material using custom ribbon/foil destruction tool in accordance with established security protocol.
  • Replace system supplies and consumables.
  • Perform the documented preventative maintenance (PM) process.
  • Conduct systems tests to assure quality output.
  • Maintain and manage required inventory of parts and supplies as instructed by management.
  • Report activity in a timely manner.
  • Request and escalate for immediate support from manager in case difficulties arise.
  • Follow and adhere to established processes and procedures.
  • Drive to customer sites daily to provide service and maintenance.
