In this position you will play a vital role in pricing, discounting, and margin optimization strategies for North America, aligning revenue growth objectives with company goals while collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Product Portfolio Management, and will play a key role in shaping the future state of the Revenue Growth Function team as Ansell modernizes its ERP and pricing systems. Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Commensurate education and experience combination
  • 10+ years of experience leading pricing strategy, discounting, margin optimization, and governance in B2B environments.
  • Proven ability to align and influence Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Product Management teams, with experience mentoring for high performance.
  • Proficient with pricing tools (CPQ, Pros), BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau), and advanced Excel (data modeling, pivot tables).
  • Skilled in executing list pricing, MSRP, discount strategies, and managing pricing cycles with strong project management.
  • Strong problem analysis, innovative pricing solutions, negotiation expertise, and effective communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Pricing Cycles: Oversee annual/bi-annual price cycles, align with regional/global stakeholders, drive cross-functional collaboration, address delays, and evaluate financial impacts.
  • Establish Discounting Governance: Set strategic price anchors (Target, Weighted Avg, Floor), implement approval processes, monitor trends, and coach sales on compliance.
  • List & Channel Pricing: Manage consistent product list pricing across channels, optimize new item pricing, and align strategies with market and portfolio goals.
  • MSRP & Competitive Intelligence: Set MSRP, monitor competitor trends, and adjust pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness.
  • Systems & Reporting: Develop KPIs, monitor price achievement/discount trends, track renewals, enhance pricing tools, and ensure alignment with financial planning.
  • Discounting & Margin Optimization: Analyze contracts, identify opportunities (bundles, terms), and refine strategies with market intelligence and sales insights.
  • Distributor Incentives: Recommend and optimize incentive programs in line with pricing strategies.
  • Sales Support (“Deal Desk”): Lead discounting rubric development, coordinate EU RFPs, build response tools, and coach the sales team on pricing strategies.
  • Additional Projects: Lead consultant-driven pricing projects as needed.
