About The Position

The Associate Director Business Development, Commercial will be responsible for overall ‘Business development’ (BD) activities focused on 3-phase commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. ‘Business Development’ is the strategic process of creating long-term value for a company by identifying, nurturing, and growing opportunities through new markets, partnerships, and customer relationships, essentially focusing on future growth beyond immediate sales by integrating forward looking strategies from sales, marketing, and finance. BD with a 3phase / C&I focus involves; market trend research, building relationships, and exploring new avenues to increase revenue, expand operations, WHILE seeking VOLUME oriented opportunities to drive sales revenue and boost overall profitability. BD’s purpose is to make a business stronger and more successful and it is both tactical and strategic, spanning time with near-term actions and sales pursuits (closed sales) as well as mid-term and long-term opportunity development. The BDD – C&I will also work closely with the EG4 Sales Team and the EG4 BD Team and the Regional Sales Reps / Technical Account Managers to support the growth of new and existing customers by being the primary BD contact for 3phase commercial forward looking partnerships and opportunities that require development to become market-ready. The BDM will also assist the EG4 BD team and EG4 Sales Team and Technical Marketing Team on an as-needed in the pursuit of sales revenue in general within their assigned territory. BD Department Mission Statement:  To constantly scan/analyze the market place and align EG4 Electronics with proper geographies and industry growth trends while identifying, locating, engaging, and developing EG4 business opportunities that will span time from near-term to long-term achieving the company’s sales revenue goals while also enabling a steady, on-going and ‘aggressive’ growth trajectory for the company.  The BDD – Commercial will focus exclusively on 3phase C&I sales and applications.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience incommercial focusedtechnical training, field service, solar/energy storage installation, or a related technical role
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage, electrical fundamentals, and system designwith a focus on 3phase commercial applications
  • Ability to deliver clear, engaging technical training to diversecommercialaudiences
  • Proven ability to make corporate introduction and product-oriented presentations to a C-suite audience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with hands-on field experience
  • Strong communicationskills—both verbal and written—in English
  • Ability to travel up to 65% of the time, including overnight travel
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to work cross-functionally with sales and support teams
  • Proficiencywith digital tools (CRM, monitoring platforms, training software, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish/French/English bilingual/trilingualproficiency(Canada(French)/ Puerto RicoSpanish))
  • Experience delivering virtual and in-person technical training programsfor commercial audience
  • Prior background working withcommercialinstallers, distributors,and/or in a customer-facing technical support role
  • Certifications in solar or electrical fields (NABCEP, electrical journeyman/master license, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with EG4 products, energy storage systems, or similar technologies

Responsibilities

  • Analyze territory toidentifytarget partners,distributorsand customersfor commercial applications
  • Develop an annual and quarterly OP (operating plan) for your territory to increase sales and achieve KPI’s
  • Identifyopportunities for high volume sales and engage with partners and customers to drive successful execution of any integration work or pre-sales development needed to get a market-ready solution
  • Deliver EG4 Trainingwith presentations to prospectivecommercialpartners and customers
  • Establish sales goals andobjectivesfor BDcommercialactivities within assigned territory to deliver results
  • Provide virtual and/or onsite technical and installation training when scheduled
  • Work closely withtheSr.BD Director, EG4 Sales and EG4 Technical Marketing to execute company goals
  • Identifyand address opportunities for overall improvement of EG4’s processes and procedures
  • Collectmarketfeedbackrelated to EG4’scommercialtechnology, performance and service and bring back to team
  • Provide excellent customer service andtechnical acumen and trainpotentialcommercialpartners andcustomerswiththegoal ofEG4 and the subject trainee officially engaging to drive mutual benefits and sales revenue
  • Report technical findings and act as voice of customer from a technical(commercial)perspective to other leadership across the company as needed
  • Work closely with theEG4 sales teamtocollaborate andmanage training visits, training schedule and all aspects of workflow related to customer success and report progress to manager
  • Travelas needed to support commercial-focused industry events and/or customer engagements
