Associate Chaplain PRN/OCC, Variable Hours and Shifts On call availability. Position Summary: Responsible for providing on-call, in-house pastoral care to patients, visitors, and employees.

Requirements

• At least (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed.
• Three (3) years experience in pastoral ministry, with one (1) year in health care ministry.

Nice To Haves

• Masters degree in religious studies preferred.
• Ministry experience of 10+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for pastoral care services.
• Provides pastoral care to patients, visitors, and employees as appropriate.
• Logs time and visits for any follow-up actions by Chaplain and charts visits on electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintains confidentiality in relationships established through service.
• Assists community clergy in provision of pastoral services with patients and visitors as opportunity develops.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Completes required education assignments annually.
• Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
