About The Position

The Associate Application Analyst at Aultman Health Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting and maintaining Clinical Information Systems. This position involves collaboration with end users and various departments within the Information Systems Division to ensure effective implementation, design, testing, and troubleshooting of clinical systems. The analyst is expected to engage in continuous education and cross-training to provide comprehensive system support and to participate in system-related go-live activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree & formal education as a licensed clinician (example: Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, etc.) or other appropriate clinical degree is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a health care institution
  • Documented participation in a clinical system implementation preferred (planning, design, testing, validation, documentation, & ongoing support)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to email, word processing, spreadsheets, power point & other necessary computer skills to fulfill job requirements
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable to a fluid work environment

Responsibilities

  • Provides Clinical Information System knowledge when implementing & maintaining clinical information systems
  • Collaborates with appropriate departments & outside vendors to develop & maintain system needs
  • Monitors clinical system change control requests & the department Help Desk queues
  • Challenges current processes & looks to introduce new methods leveraging technology
  • Participates in downtimes & upgrades of clinical information system application
  • Cross-trains for other information systems as needed
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Information System Project Teams & provide technical support as needed
  • Collaborates, analyzes & troubleshoots clinical applications
  • Serves as a representative of the clinical information system on hospital committees, as assigned
  • Participates in the process for system revisions or upgrades & analysis of the same
  • Participates in end user issue research, training & education as requested
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current trends & issues in health care, nursing practice, health care informatics, national & state trends & standards including legal implications of an electronic health record
  • Participates in presentations & publications regarding Clinical Informatics; attending conferences & training, as directed
  • Maintains positive relationships with clinical & non-clinical end user communities
  • Monitors the daily operations of the clinical information system
  • Utilizes contact with other Clinical Information System users via site visits, users group meetings, & other communication to maintain a resource for problem solving & new approaches to standard procedures
