Under the general direction of the Assistive Technology Manager, the Assistive Technology Coordinator is responsible to coordinate alternative media production, and to provide instruction, technical assistance and resource materials regarding assistive and instructional computer technologies, for university students and employees with disabilities. The position provides campus-wide leadership for students, faculty, supervisors and University staff in understanding rights and responsibilities regarding the provision of assistive technology and alternative media, as per the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA, as amended 2008) and Sections 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 503 and 504).
