The Assistive Technology Assistant plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Upstate Caring Partners Technology Program (TRAID) office. This position involves customer service, data management, and equipment maintenance, as well as overseeing the Assistive Technology Grant (ATG). The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision after training, ensuring efficient program operations and customer satisfaction.

  • Assist with the day-to-day in-office customer service, including arranging for equipment delivery/pick up.
  • Maintain a contact list and conduct quarterly mailings for information dissemination as specified in the DBTAC (NEADA/IT) grant.
  • Keep records of customer contacts (phone calls, demonstrations, loans, outreach activities) and mailings.
  • Implement follow-up procedures and customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Assist with maintenance, cleaning, and tracking of equipment, including obtaining necessary supplies for equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a catalogue/reference library.
  • Associate's Degree in Human services or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of assistive technology devices in education, community living, employment, and information technology/telecommunications, as well as disabilities and funding sources.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License.
