About The Position

Lorien Elkridge is hiring 2 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to work every other weekend, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Join our award-winning team and see why we’re more than a nursing home! Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered Maryland LPN license in good standing
  • BLS Certification (current and valid)
  • A kind, patient, and empathetic personality with a commitment to excellent patient care

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with service plans and physician orders
  • Administer medications and treatments following state regulations and assisted living guidelines
  • Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to the RN, physician, or leadership team
  • Perform routine nursing procedures (vital signs, wound care, injections, glucose monitoring)
  • Document care and resident responses accurately in the medical record
  • Supervise and support CNAs and CMTs as assigned
  • Assist with resident assessments, care plan updates, and service coordination
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established protocols
  • Promote resident independence, dignity, and quality of life
