About The Position

This maintenance position is primarily responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining the building and equipment in Assisted Living at VMRC. VMRC is a Christ-centered, nonprofit continuing care retirement community offering independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care for older adults. It also provides wellness programs, educational opportunities, and arts and cultural activities for residents and the wider community.

Requirements

• Three years' experience in the maintenance field is preferred.
• Must have a current Driver's License with acceptable DMV driving record.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments in the English language.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Pleasant personality and ability to deal tactfully with others.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work quickly and carefully in a safe manner.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, lift, carry or handle light weight (1-25 lbs.) materials or equipment frequently.
• Must report to work in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently maintain the building and equipment in Assisted Living at VMRC.
• Perform duties listed in the job description with limited supervision.
• Schedule time wisely and accommodate changes.
• Operate all power equipment throughout the VMRC campus.
