About The Position

We are hiring for a part time cook position at Butterfly Homes in Billings Heights for three days a week. If you have a passion for cooking home style meals in a friendly work environment, apply today! Job Duties : The cook is responsible for preparing and serving an appetizing and appealing variety of planned meals and simply modified diets, assisting with ordering of food and kitchen supplies, and the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining area.

Requirements

• Cooking experience either at home or at other institutions
• Good people/communication skills
• Willing to work as an active team member
• Ability to maintain and display a positive attitude
• Ability to multitask
• The ability to follow a menu to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
• Conscious of time management
• Must have the ability to read, speak, write and follow oral and written directions.

Nice To Haves

• High school education or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing Food in an appetizing and appealing manor according to menus and recipes provided
• Assisting the administrator in planning menus that are nutritious and palatable
• Controlling and limiting food waste
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen
• Following proper food handling and rotation procedures
