(Other duties will be assigned as needed) : Must be willing and able to do the following: Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, transferring, ambulation according to their individualized service plans. Participate in service plan meetings for specified residents. Participate in housekeeping/laundry tasks to provide a clean and safe environment for residents/staff to work and live in; this may include: bed making; laundry of residents’ personal items, towels and flat linens; maintaining cleanliness of surfaces and floors in individual apartments and common areas. Assist with dining services: plating of food in dining room, serving residents, cutting food, assisting with feeding by offering encouragement, cueing, providing hand over hand guidance and/or feeding. Participate in life enrichment programming to include gathering of residents; escorts to/from, supervision and leading of programs; and in family and social activities. Report and record ANY changes in resident condition (physical, psychological, behavioral, social) to nurse on duty. Document resident status per community policy. Apply principles of infection control, including standard precautions, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, cleaning and disinfection, respiratory hygiene, waste disposal. Monitor resident environment to ensure all safety standards are met or exceeded. Participate in the admission of new residents. Promptly respond to all pendants, call lights and pull cords ensuring highest level of hospitality and customer service. Anticipate resident needs as much as possible. Routinely make rounds of resident care areas to ensure resident wellbeing. Provide emergency response within scope of practice Follow through with all assignments completely, thoroughly and timely. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure success of community.
