About The Position
Village Care Homes offers small assisted living communities in a home-like setting, and the Assistant Manager position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our Magnolia community, which accommodates up to 16 residents. This role requires a dedicated individual who is detail-oriented and takes the initiative to recognize the needs of residents. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, enjoy staying busy, and be a positive team player. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the community, ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented and followed, and maintaining a professional approach to all responsibilities. In this position, the Assistant Manager will also be required to work as a caregiver for one or two 12-hour shifts per week, assisting residents with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting. The role involves interfacing with residents, families, doctors, hospice, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will be on-call two or three days per week, with the schedule varying based on the house manager's availability.
