About The Position

Play & Learn in Fort Washington, conveniently located just off of 309 and the PA Turnpike, is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team! Our teaching staff, directors and administrators are committed to working together with families to create a safe, educational and fun setting for children. We are seeking qualified Infant and Toddler Teacher Assistants who will: Meet the individual needs of the children providing the highest quality of care Develop Lesson plans Implement Play & Learn’s Curriculum Support our children and families as a member of a team Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment Promote a nurturing and learning environment Create a multi-cultural learning environment Engage and encourage creativity through art, music, and play Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills Participate in staff and training meetings Full Time (8:00-5:00 or 8:30-5:30) and Floater positions available!

Requirements

  • CDA or 6 credits in Early Child Education-Associate Degree a plus!
  • Two years child care experience in a formal setting (child care, nursery, school, preschool)
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 40lbs, work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to engage in physical activities with the ability to lift, sit, stand, walk, crouch, push, pull.
  • Passionate about building positive relationships with children and families
