About The Position

The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will support the head coach in all aspects of the women's soccer program at Bowling Green State University. This includes recruiting student-athletes, organizing practices, coaching, scheduling, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with NCAA and university regulations. The role also involves promoting the program through social media and fundraising activities, as well as assisting in the academic progress of student-athletes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, conferred at the time of application.
• 1 year of soccer coaching experience at the Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College, or High School level, or club soccer coaching.
• 2 years of graduate assistantship experience equals 1 year of professional experience.
• Valid driver's license and compliance with the University's vehicle use policy.

Nice To Haves

• USSF 'B' License or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the sport and developing student-athletes' skills and teamwork.
• Communicate with the head coach to plan and promote a competitive NCAA Division I program.
• Organize and implement practice and training procedures for individual and team skill development.
• Identify, select, and recruit prospective student-athletes with the necessary athletic and academic talents.
• Adhere to NCAA, MAC, and university rules and regulations.
• Complete and report all administrative information related to the department, university, and conference.
• Work with Creative Services to maintain the program's online presence.
• Assist in data collection and analysis using the Catapult Workload Technology system.
• Help develop and implement fundraising activities.
• Assist with planning and executing camps and clinics.
• Attend required department meetings and perform other assigned duties.
