About The Position

The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at North Carolina State University will support the Division 1 Women's Soccer Team, assisting in all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruitment, and academic monitoring. This role is integral to promoting the athletics program's philosophy and ensuring compliance with NCAA and ACC regulations while fostering the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of two years as a Collegiate Women's Soccer Assistant or Head Coach with demonstrated success and proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of NCAA bylaws.
  • Dedication to the success of student-athletes in their academic and athletic endeavors.
  • Commitment to integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Prior Division 1 Level and/or goalkeeper coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Assistant Coach of the Division 1 Women's Soccer Team.
  • Assist in overseeing and managing all aspects of the Women's Soccer Program.
  • Promote the philosophy and objectives of the North Carolina State intercollegiate athletics program.
  • Embrace and execute the Athletics Department's strategic plan while ensuring compliance with NCAA and ACC rules.
  • Assist with the scouting and recruitment of student-athletes, including on-campus visits.
  • Coach student-athletes and evaluate their performance in practice and competition.
  • Monitor the conditioning and training of student-athletes.
  • Assist in monitoring the academic progress and eligibility status of student-athletes.
  • Maintain statistics and interface with officials.
  • Participate in public relations activities as approved.
  • Assist with budget preparations and operate within approved budget allocations.
  • Handle travel arrangements as assigned.
  • Participate in clinics, exhibitions, and camps as approved.
  • Attend appropriate coaches meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Administration.
