POSITION SUMMARY : The Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach is a full-time, 12-month position. The position is responsible for assisting the Head Women’s Wrestling Coach in all aspects of the Women’s Wrestling program, ensuring adherence to NCAA compliance. Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : 1. Assists with recruiting student-athletes that are committed to academic and athletic excellence. 2. Has adequate training and background to properly plan, implement, train, and coach women’s wrestling at the collegiate level. 3. Assists Head Coach with team training and various administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to, community service, academic support, fundraising, and recruiting. 4. Learns, understands, and complies with all NCAA and Gannon University policies and requirements. 5. Promotes a positive student-athlete experience. 6. Promotes and represents the University whenever possible. 7. Assists with the design and development of strength and conditioning plans. 8. Assists with the operation and instruction of camps and clinics. 9. Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills within the program, department, and University. 10. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility and requirements of the position.
