Reporting to the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach, the Assistant Coach helps develop a competitive Division I Women’s Volleyball program. The primary role of the Assistant Coach is to teach student-athletes the game of women’s volleyball. The Assistant Coach will evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes to Temple University whose athletic skills will strengthen the program's competitiveness and whose academic abilities make them ideal candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation from Temple University. The Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach supports the Head Coach by providing leadership and integrity to the program established by the Head Coach. This includes, but is not limited to, creating, planning, organizing, motivating, communicating, and managing aspects related to recruiting, practices, competitions, student-athletes, and associated booster clubs. The Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner that represents the University, the Department, and the sport both on and off the field of competition. They should be knowledgeable about and comply with NCAA regulatory policies governing their sport as well as NCAA and conference policies regarding recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. The Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach will perform other duties as assigned.
